Lily Cox-Richard will create a new sculpture installation that embeds the specifics of place (including debris and litter) in ubiquitous building materials. The work will fuse intensively crafted objects, found materials, and cast concrete to challenge assumptions of positioning. Cox-Richard will also invert the gallery’s privileged space by making the sidewalk outside the gallery, and its low, floor-level windows the prime vantage point for the work.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display until November 3.
