Stunning Buffalo Bayou mansion proves to be the perfect setting for waterways protecting gala

Where: An outdoor setting at the home of Natasha and Michael Bleyzer on the banks of Buffalo Bayou.
The 411: Laurie and Doug Vander Ploeg, Frances and Nick Stephens, Mariana Green and Dan Searight chaired the idyllic evening in which the weather cooperated and the verdant scenery of the surrounding nature preserve spoke of the beauty of the city's natural landscapes and waterways. In fact, the mission of the Bayou Preservation Association is the protection of the city's 2,500 miles of waterways.
The magnificent 15,000 square foot contemporary home with its glowing pool patio provided a perfect setting for the evening that featured trampoline entertainment by the Houston Gymnastics Center, dinner by Tony's catering and plenty of chatter about the otherworldly setting.
Who: Among the 275 guests were Bayou Preservation Association director Kathy Lord, Meredith and Fielding Cocke, Robert Rayburn, Lynn and Ty Kelly, Heidi Cruz, Irene and Lev Bleyzer, Amanda and Chad Brown and Jessica and Cory Stull.
