Stylish young professionals vied with Cute Young Things when Women of Wardrobe celebrated its 10th anniversary with a fashion blast at Tootsies. With designer Nicole Miller, jewelery designer Claudia LaBoao and handbag designer Annsley Popov of Presmer, the youthful chic meter was off the charts.
Catching our eye amid the stylish young crowd was Laura Max Nelson in a black-and-white window pane checked dress from French Connection.
"I love this dress because it's office appropriate but I can wear it out after work," she emailed. "It's the perfect mix of classic and edgy, and the 7-inch heels were just too fun to leave sitting in my closet. They pulled the whole outfit together."
She completed the look with shoes from Zara, the handbag from Forever 21, rings by David Yurman and Jack & Hugo and a Cartier watch.
The native New Yorker moved to Houston from Boston last year to be closer to family and pursue her multi-faceted career that includes writing her blog/magazine TheLightFiles.com.
