Fast cars, high fashion and interesting chitchat fuel Art of Conversation kickoff party

The scoop: More than 150 supporters of City ArtWorks, a leading visual arts education resource offering creative programming, collaborations, and exhibitions, mingled amid artwork from Nicole Longnecker Gallery and a fleet of exotic cars, including Art Cars by artists Amy Lynch, Randy Blair, and Sue Shefman.
Putting a fashionable spin on the evening, Stacey Swift, public relations manager at Neiman Marcus, oversaw a fall runway show as bites were provided by Elegant Occasions catering.
The event was the kickoff for City Artworks’ Art of Conversation luncheon, slotted for November 14. This year, the roster of lunchtime tablemates includes Lisa Falkenberg (2015 Pulitzer Prize Winner for Commentary), CultureMap Houston editor-in-chief Clifford Pugh, Memorial Park Conservancy CEO Shellye Arnold, Channel 13 anchorGina Gaston, and Bradley Epley, chief conservator of the Menil Collection.
Who: Event co-chairs Staci Henderson and Deborah Colton, Ken and Mady Kades, Bill Meganhardt, Ella Park, and Nicole Longnecker. Also in attendance were ice sculptor Reverend Butter and former principal dancer of the Houston Ballet Lauren Anderson, who will also lead table discussions at the November event.
