Coming soon: A Heights salute to American comfort food at Liberty Kitchen

Coming soon: A Heights salute to American comfort food at Liberty Kitchen

Despite the overwhelming success of BRC Gastropub, partners Lance Fegen, Shepard Ross, Lee Ellis and Carl Eaves aren't resting on their laurels.

Now that BRC is up and running, they, along with fifth partner Will Davis, are turning their attention to another new concept in the former Stop-N-Go on the corner of 11th Street and Studewood.

Originally set to be a burger joint called Burgerzilla, it's now set to another ode to casual American cuisine called Liberty Kitchen.

"Once we started working on the space we realized it was really to big to be just a burger joint," Ross says. "It's going to be the same kinds of casual, comfortable American classics as BRC, but with more of a vibe for Heights families."

Work is still in the early stages, but plans include a bigger bar and more seating than BRC.
