First look: Kendall and Kylie Jenner reveal new Topshop collection that's California cool
The next generation of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians clan is following in the footsteps of Kim, Kourtney and Khloe as serial entrepreneurs. The youngest siblings, Kendall and Kylie Jenner (dad is Bruce Jenner; mom Kris), who have grown up before our eyes on the addictive E! series, have launched a capsule collection for Topshop.
The 15-piece Kendall + Kylie collection, unveiled early Monday morning in London, highlights the sisters' southern California style. The looks are modeled after what Kendall, 19, and Kylie, 17, say they would wear. And viewers of the heavily repeated series can likely imagine the young women in the midriff-baring blouses, distressed denim shorts, printed T-shirts and sweatshirts with slogans like "When In Doubt, Vacation, "Golden State of Mind" and "The Best Coast is the West Coast."
The collection also includes flowing maxi-dresses, along with a few more cutting-edge styles, like black wide-legged pants that are see-through from the mid-thigh down.
The most successful looks are in a vintagey Hawaiian print — a white V-neck jumpsuit with shades of pink flowers ($105) and a black-and-pink floral playsuit ($85), blouse tied at the waist $68 and shorts ($58) stand out from the rest of the capsule collection.
Prices range from $52 (for the Golden State T) to $150 (for a chic ivory full-length duster). While the collection seems a little pricey for the average teen, it is touted as featuring "premium fabrics and modern silhouettes, to create a range of essential summer pieces."
It is available at the Topshop Galleria store, online at topshop.com and at select Nordstrom stores beginning June 3.
