    Come Hungry

Houston’s biggest food and wine weekend returns to Autry Park

    Aug 26, 2026 | 12:00 pm

Houston’s culinary scene is getting ready for another delicious celebration as the 2026 Chefs For Farmers Houston Food & Wine Festival returns to Autry Park September 26–27.

Now in its fifth year in Houston, the two-day festival brings together some of the city’s most acclaimed chefs and restaurants for a weekend filled with exceptional food, wine, cocktails, music, and plenty of reasons to come hungry.

Among this year’s standout culinary talent are Thomas Bille of Belly of the Beast, winner of the James Beard Foundation’s Best Chef: Texas award in 2025, and Evelyn Garcia and Henry Lu of JŪN, who took home the same prestigious honor in 2026. Their appearances add an extra layer of star power to an already impressive lineup of Houston culinary talent.

With different participating chefs and restaurants featured each day, the festival offers plenty to discover across the weekend.

More than 50 restaurants, chefs, caterers, bakeries, and other food destinations are currently slated to participate, including Blood Bros BBQ, Hugo’s, Musaafer, Original Ninfa’s, Loro Asian Smokehouse & Bar, Pier 6 Seafood, Saigon Hustle, Common Bond, Guard and Grace Houston, Local Foods, Crawfish & Noodles, JŪN, Belly of the Beast, and many more.

And food is only part of the party. Guests can sip premium wines and spirits, sample craft cocktails, explore local vendors, enjoy live DJs and dance-offs, and take part in interactive experiences throughout the weekend.

With Autry Park providing the backdrop, the festival promises a lively celebration of the people and flavors that make Houston such an exciting food city.

There’s also a meaningful reason to raise a glass. Chefs For Farmers proudly supports the Houston Food Bank, which will once again participate in the festival. Guests can purchase Empty Bowls to support the organization’s important work addressing hunger throughout the Houston community. It’s an easy way to make a delicious weekend even more meaningful.

The festival has its roots in Dallas, where Chefs For Farmers began in 2010 as an intimate farm-to-table dinner. Since then, the event has grown into a Texas food and wine festival celebrating the chefs, artisans, farmers, and producers behind exceptional seasonal cuisine. Its Houston edition has become an anticipated part of the city’s culinary calendar.

Tickets are on sale now. General Admission single-day tickets start at $125, while VIP single-day tickets start at $175. Weekend passes start at $199 for General Admission and $279 for VIP.

For food lovers looking for a weekend packed with great bites, memorable pours, and Houston’s culinary stars, Chefs For Farmers is one event worth adding to the calendar.

Comedy legend Jerry Seinfeld stands up for Houston venue's 10th anniversary

Sugar Land’s Smart Financial Centre will celebrate its 10th anniversary that same way it celebrated its grand opening — with a performance by comedy legend Jerry Seinfeld.

Known for his eponymous sitcom, Seinfeld, the comedian, writer, and actor will perform Saturday, January 16, 2027. Tickets will go on sale at 10 am on Friday, October 2 at the venue’s website.

Seinfeld hardly needs an introduction, but here it is anyway. After a 1981 appearance on The Tonight Show established his standup career, Seinfeld teamed up with fellow comedian Larry David to create Seinfeld, the groundbreaking TV show that ran for nine seasons on NBC, racking up Emmys, Golden Globes, and People’s Choice Awards.

It remains popular, reaching 60 million Americans in the first half of 2026 alone, according to an article in Variety that cites Nielsen ratings. Netflix reportedly renewed its agreement to be the show’s streaming home for five more years.

Since then, he’s released Emmy-nominated specials such as Jerry Before Seinfeld and 23 Hours to Kill, along with his acclaimed web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. He also wrote three best-selling books — Is this Anything?, The Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Book, and Seinlanguage — among other projects.

Smart Financial Centre opened in January 2017. As CultureMap reported at the time, the $84 million performance venue can seat anywhere from 3,000 to 6,400 people. It has an array of upcoming performances, including a roast on Houston hip-hip icon Willie D on October 28.
