E! co-host weds Dallas woman who survived freak accident in celeb-filled ceremony
Dallas fashion blogger Lauren Scruggs wed Jason Kennedy in her hometown on Friday night at the Four Seasons Resort and Club at Las Colinas, reports E! News. The bride wore Romona Keveza; the groom, co-host of E! News, wore Tom Ford.
Among those in attendance were Candice and Tony Romo, Kathie Lee Gifford, Giuliana and Bill Rancic, and Catt Sadler. Jason's best man was Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr., who married Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Hawkins Romo, 2, served as ring bearer.
After the ceremony, Scruggs changed into a dress designed by her friend and local designer Nardos Imam. For their first dance, the newlyweds chose Keith Urban's "Making Memories of Us," performed by local band Cuvée.
Scruggs started dating Kennedy in the summer of 2013, a little less than two years after a freak accident in which she walked into a spinning airplane propeller. She wrote about her experiences in Still LoLo: A Spinning Propeller, a Horrific Accident and a Family's Journey of Hope and speaks publicly. She also founded a charity to help young girls pay for prosthetic limbs.
Kennedy proposed to Scruggs in Dallas back in May, presenting her with a Jennifer Meyer diamond. During the ceremony, the couple exchanged rings from William Noble.
