The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has announced the first four performers in its 2011 entertainment lineup: Zac Brown Band (March 17), Sugarland (March 3), Brad Paisley (March 19) and Selena Gomez (March 6).
The Rodeo is far more than fair food, rodeo wrangling and shopping — crowds gather each year to see headlining acts perform at the Rodeo's rotating concert stage and in its lower-key arena, The Hideout.
Zac Brown Band performs throwback country under the namesake of lead singer and (Zach Galifianakis doppelganger) Zac Brown; Sugarland brings powerful duets with Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush; Brad Paisley is a classic favorite with his clever lyrics and tween sensation Selena Gomez adds a shot of diversity to the otherwise-country crowd.
Season tickets and mini-season tickets, with nine performances in each option, are available on the rodeo website, by phone at 832-667-1080, or in person on the second floor of Reliant Center, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Individual tickets will go on sale Jan. 15.
The rodeo runs March 1-20. The entire entertainment lineup will be unveiled Jan. 10.
