Stevie Nicks and the Pretenders put Houston stop on upcoming 24-karat Gold concert tour
Swirly singer Stevie Nicks is back on a tour featuring fearsome female singing, and she's including a stop in Houston The Grammy winner and wearer of lacy ponchos has launched the 24 Karat Gold Tour, which sets sail on October 25 in Phoenix.
It hits Houston's Toyota Center on October 29 and Dallas' American Airlines Center on October 30; these are the only two Texas cities on the 27-city tour, which ends in California in mid-December.
The tour references Nicks' 2014 album, 24 Karat Gold – Songs From The Vault, produced by the Eurhythmics' Dave Stewart; it earned 4 1/2 stars on allmusic.com. She most recently toured with Fleetwood Mac, performing 122 sold-out shows around the world during 2014-2015.
Nicks will be joined by opening act the Pretenders, who haven't toured since 2012. Singer Chrissie Hynde released a solo album, Stockholm, in 2014, with an accompanying tour. In 2015, she penned a memoir, Reckless: My Life As a Pretender.
