As far as I am concerned, you should never be ashamed of the roles that have given you fame. But, if you haven't done anything since that has inspired people to follow your career, something is wrong.
It's seems that nowadays, Katie Holmes lives off the more blinding celebrity of her husband, Tom Cruise, and even daughter Suri. With her upcoming role as Jackie Kennedy, maybe people like myself will stop thinking about Holmes as Joey Potter on Dawson's Creek and I'll stop humming, "I don't want to wait, for our lives to be over ..." every time I see her on TV.
The first pictures of Holmes playing Jackie Kennedy in the television mini-series The Kennedys that will be shown on the History Channel have come out. And, what do you know, she looks the part, right up to the bobbed do. Of course, no one's heard her actually speak it yet.
This eight-hour series also stars Greg Kinnear as legendary player, John F. Kennedy. (The tabloids don't much care what Greg looks like as JFK though, he's not getting any style ratings). That's the burden of being Katie.
Note to Katie, don't cast your daughter in anything, she will steal the show — which is the last thing you need.
