J.J Watt sings the blues — he can't find the perfect girl and a table for one is no fun

Calling all single gals. It seems that J.J. Watt is feeling a little lonely.

In an interview with NFL.com, the Houston Texan laments that while he's putting in the effort to find a girlfriend, he's coming up short on the play.

One of the things getting in the way of true love? Life at the office. "People [I know] think that I've never dated before, or whatever. But I'm trying. I'm trying. I'm just unsuccessful. My schedule's so crazy and life's so busy, it just hasn't worked,” he explains.

The 6’5” star defensive end with good looks and a $100 million contract goes on to say that he would love to settle down and start a family.

"Trust me, I would love to have a wife and kids. I would very much enjoy that. But I also know that you have to be in the right place to do that. You have to find the right situation, and you have to be in that right mindset where you can give everything you have to that. Because whatever I do, I want to be the best at,” he says.

Another hurdle on the path to love is the motives of the women the superstar celebrity athlete meets. "That's why it's so difficult. You don't know who wants you for you, who wants you for the money, who wants you for the fame. You have no idea. And how would you know? There's no way," he tells NFL.com.

Back in May, Watt was rumored to have had a short fling with tennis player Caroline Wozniacki that didn’t pan out. Another blow to the heart, his dream girl Jennifer Aniston married Justin Theroux in August.

He appeared gaga over Naomi Watts at a Bulgari dinner here in 2014. But she's married. He charmed Katy Perry in January at a photo shoot for ESPN Magazine's Music issue. Bless his sexy heart. Not all sacks come easy for the NFL star.

“Trust me, it's a lot more difficult than I wish it was -- but I'm sure hoping to find the right one."

We're willing to bet there are plenty of unattached females out there willing to take one for the team. We're calling dibs.
