Texas dominates Most Kissable Cities list, but Houston is cruelly survey blocked
If you're looking to better your chances for love, experts say working on your smile is a good place to start. According to one survey, men and women sizing up new dates consider teeth the "most important factor" for physical attraction.
With that information as a guide, cosmetic treatment review site RealSelf.com crunched the numbers to find out what cities are investing the most in their smiles. Three of the Top 10 "Most Kissable Cities in America" are in Texas, making the Lone Star State a prime location for lip locking.
With that criteria, the rankings may speak more to vanity than to kissability. Maybe everyone should be proud Houston's not on the list.
Austin came in first for Texas with a No. 3 ranking nationally, followed by San Antonio at No. 8 and Dallas at No. 9. Yes, Houston somehow wasn't deemed so kissable. RealSelf.com considered the common interest in more than a dozen "smile-enhancing procedures" such as lip augmentation, Invisalign, porcelain veneers and teeth whitening.
With that criteria, the rankings may speak more to vanity than to kissability. Maybe everyone should be proud Houston's not on the list.
California, which claimed four of the top 10 cities on the survey, had an even stronger showing than Texas. San Francisco took home the No. 1 slot, followed by San Diego (No. 2), Los Angeles (No. 4) and San Jose (No. 6).
Other cities in the top 10 are Seattle (No. 5), Oklahoma City (No. 7) and Denver (No. 10).
