The vacant Tower Theatre's marquee, which was removed at the end of April, has been replaced — and it's looking better than ever.
The old sign had been damaged in Hurricane Ike, and owners Beeson Properties just got around to having it fixed.
We had hoped the spiffy new sign signified a new tenant, but Beeson said today that while there has been some interest, nothing's close to happening.
This theater, built in 1936 and once a venue for live productions, is already gutted inside. If not the Alabama, is Tower's new facade fit for the Alamo?
