A paparazzi wedding rocks Houston with acrobats, a groovy dancing groom & a Phantom Rolls-Royce

Paparazzi posers snapping photographs outside The Corinthian as guests arrived to a red carpet welcome, a dancing groom behind a curtain and Cirque du Soleil-style acrobatics made this recent Houston wedding a spectacular occasion — one that attendees are still talking about today.

Welcome to the magical nuptials of Roxanne Murcia and Kolja Rockov.

Let the show begin!

Enter the groom, Kolja, an endearingly flamboyant social figure about Houston . . .

. . . who is about to marry the love of his life, the beautiful Roxanne.

Roxanne carries a lovely bouquet accented by dusty pink roses and a dangling silver cross.

The groom makes a surprise entry, dancing behind a sheer backdrop where he moves in silhouette to the tune of “All I Need is the Girl.”

At the conclusion of his performance, Kolja parts the sheers to welcome the crowd and join his bride-to-be.

Artists from Dance Houston, with choreography by Andrea Cody, enter the ceremony spotlight via the staircase in an ethereal ballet building up to aerialist Kirsten Clingman's ceiling descent.

As she gracefully hangs above the couple, Clingman delivers a scroll containing the groom's personally written vow to his bride, which he reads aloud.

While the evening is filled with lights, cameras and plenty of entertaining action for a night to remember, the ceremony beautifully follows traditional fashion at most moments. Guests listen to classical and contemporary selections by the David Brown Orchestra.

The bridesmaid and flower girls walk their processional way down the ceremony aisle, surrounded by the fabulous décor by Plants n’ Petals: Cherry blossom branches drape from the expansive ceilings and lighting casts the lavish floral displays in soft pink and lavender hues.

Roxanne and Kolja inaugurate the remainder of the evening by descending the grand staircase and dancing their first dance to a live version of "Can't Help Falling in Love" performed by the Richard Brown Band.

Guests enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the mezzanine level of The Corinthian, while the space below is transformed from the ceremonial altar to a floral-lush dining room where a four-course dinner catered by Jackson and Company is served.

Guests dance for hours to entertainment by the Drywater Band and DJ L-Boogie. The couple thanks Alia Rdissi of Belle of the Ball for her success as wedding planner.

At midnight, Roxanne and Kolja conclude the reception, exiting through a rose petal shower and departing in a Phantom Rolls Royce provided by W Exotic Car Rental.
