Houston's Crazy Snowpocalypse
Crazy pictures from Houston's snowpocalypse: Yes, we're cold weather wimps — and proud of it
Even .03 inches of snow (maybe) in the Houston area receives a flurry of excitement, from tiny patches of the white stuff to icicles dangling from outdoor faucets and even melting from tree and bush branches. It's the thrill of the chill.
Come on, we like to celebrate, Texas style. Plus, what kid and former kid anywhere out there doesn't jump up and down for an official "snow day" off from school? Count me in.
Click through our slideshow of photos of what people found beautiful, amazing and sometimes funny about our obsession with the below-32-degrees dip. We Texans can take the joking, but obviously, not the cold weather! Instead of mocking, lend us your earflaps . . . and can we borrow a pair or two of those great winter gloves?
A challenge: Anyone out there joking about us want to take on the summers we endure?
You'll find real Texans celebrating that season, too.
