This small, clubby bistro in Uptown does decent Italian – seafood, pasta, steak – at lunch and dinner, and its Italian-centric wine list isn't too shabby. But its claim to fame is its late-night hours on weekends. Other than Denny’s, Dallas doesn't have too many choices when it comes to noshing after the bars close. Every Friday and Saturday until 3 am, Avanti hosts a “moonlight breakfast” with calamari, steak sandwiches, omelets and eggs Benedict. When you’re there in the middle of the night, eating an omelet with French fries on the side, it feels like the most sophisticated place in town.
