Some bands prefer to play a smaller space to an intimate crowd to test new songs and get closer to their fan base.  Wired Live (formerly known as The Meridian) is just that scene. It’s a room with a low ceiling and amazing acoustics that are eardrum blasting perfect whether you are hanging out in the back or up crushed in with the crowd three rows deep.  In fact the sound is all encompassing and doesn’t drift off and get lost like it sometimes does in a larger arena.  We saw The Black Keys there and know the Kooks and the Cold War Kids were both in the upcoming lineup and all three set to be sold out shows.  It is in the warehouse district downtown but not too far off the freeway so it's not scary afterward when you are walking to your car. This is one of our favorite spots ever to see a show because the band is so much more real if you can almost reach out and touch them.
