METRORail — TMC Transit Center

Step off the train and into the urban realm. Though only seven miles long, METRORail connects the core of Houston culture.
In designing this station, an unexpectedly beautiful glass and white beam architectural intervention was included to function as a pedestrian overpass connecting the light rail platforms with platforms for buses. The glitz is enough to put NYC's Jamaica interchange to shame.
A deal has been struck between Transwestern and METRO to develop the space over the bus bays with a hotel and office space. This will require extensive rebuilding of the facilities, but when it happens, the station will be quite the statement.
