Dry Creek Cafe & Boat Dock
There's no boat dock and there's no cafe. Dry Creek is better referred to as a grisly roadhouse or saloon. But that's what people love about it. Having been around since what seems like the Mesozoic era, this place has remained untouched for decades.
There is one bar downstairs and a decent sized patio upstairs where patrons enjoy their two dollar beer overlooking Mount Bonnell and Lake Austin. A honkey-tonk jukebox is filled with scratchy old 45's by the likes of Tammy Wynette and Ray Price. The crowd is mixed, but everyone who loves Dry Creek has one thing in common: celebrating "old school" Austin.
Beer only. You can't get your next beer until you return your finished bottle to the bartender downstairs. Better get to walking!
