Join Houston Cinema Arts Society, SWAMP, Women In Film & Television Houston, Texas Monthly and the Austin Film Festival for a free informational workshop on the "Where I'm From" Short Film Contest sponsored by Texas Monthly and AFF. Meet writer-director Casey Kelly, Texas Monthly's executive editor Mimi Swartz and Austin Film Festival's Kelly Williams as they discuss specifics of the contest and the best way to tell your story.
Finalist shorts will be screened at the 2011 Cinema Arts Festival Houston, Nov. 9-13, and the 18th Austin Film Festival, Oct. 20-27. Entry deadline is June 1. Click here for details.
