Project Row Houses presents Summer Studios opening reception

Project Row Houses will host its Summer Studios. At the opening, attendees will hear from the student artists about their individual practices and experiences throughout the six-week Summer Studios residency. Following the artists’ talks, guests will have the opportunity to explore the installations.

In conjunction with the unveiling, PRH has collaborated with the Melanin Yoga Project to host a back-to school drive to collect school supplies for Third Ward students as they approach the start of the 2019-2020 school year. Melanin Yoga Project will also host free yoga workshops for the community and secure vendors. Additionally, DJ Shantae will be on site providing a set for evening.

Exhibiting 2019 artists include: Micaela Cadungog (University of Houston), Chanise Epps (Texas Southern University), Katarina Guzman (University of St. Thomas), Sabrina Juarez (University of Houston), Alexandra Lechin (University of Houston), Nicolas R. Simien (University of Houston), Chasity Smith (Texas Southern University) and Treasure Haskins (Texas Southern University).

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display until September 15.
