Rūng Ā Rūng means “colorful.” Indus Arts Council is creating a colorful cultural experience for Houston families to indulge in the nuances of Pakistani tea and truck art culture, created through interactive performances, art show, food bazaar, and children’s activities.

Many Asian and Eastern countries use tea in their daily lives almost ritualistically, as an element to cleanse or commune. Tea in Pakistan takes on a unique stance where it is essential to hospitality and weaving bonds of friendship and longterm relationships between strangers and families. Come with your families for tea, samosas, and colorful truck art that has transformed transport branding into pop art in Pakistan.

The event will feature Food Street with the finest pairings of sweets and savory, and an array of chai, village setting with charpais (woven beds) and chai, interactive performances - dance and regional fashion show, original Truck Art for sale by local Houston artists, cultural arts and crafts for sale, children’s activities, rickshaw ride, and food trucks.
