The 2016 Fulshear Scarecrow Festival will allow registrants to receive $100 toward their creations, with the scarecrow that best reflects the theme of “Scarecrows: The Next Generation” winning the $1,000 grand prize. Second place will win $500 and third place receives $250. This year’s theme was selected to honor the 50th anniversary of the iconic Star Trek television show.
While the scarecrows will be a star attraction, the festival also will include a carnival, live music, pumpkin decorating, a costume parade, face painting, bobbing for apples, jugglers, and more. Proceeds from the event benefit Arts Fulshear and the Texana Center.
