Bisong Art Gallery, in collaboration with Dream Affect Foundation, presents "Culture: Our New Normal," which draws attention to the current events of black culture and how they continue to shape history. The exhibition, which celebrates and gives honor to the exceptional history centered around African American culture, will feature paintings, drawings, sculptures and mixed-media from various artists showcasing their perspective of how they view black culture.
Bisong Art Gallery has partnered with The D.R.E.A.M Affect Foundation in donating a portion of all art sales to scholarships for students of the local HBCU, Prairie View A&M University. These scholarships will allow young artists of color to have the opportunity to broaden there skills and education and reform the under-representation of minorities in the fine arts.
"Culture: Our New Normal" inspires healthy conversation around community, creating change, and advocacy through education. The creative expression detailed through each artist’s work enables the viewer to find the remarkable impact of the black experience.
