At the December 2013 meeting of Vice President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Tokyo, both countries agreed to build on more than six decades of positive relations by ongoing strengthening of bilateral ties. Kenichiro Sasae, Ambassador of Japan to the United States, joins Asia Society Texas Center for a luncheon on strengthening alliances between Japan and the United States as well as defining the roles of the two countries in shaping the regional order in East Asia.
Sasae will be in conversation with Edward Rudge Allen III, vice chair of Asia Society Texas Center.
