For over four years, Wilbert Chinchilla has been working in Houston as a reporter, and he loves it. After realizing that being a doctor wasn't his cup of tea, this Brooklyn native was guided (forced?) into the writing world by some very convincing professors at UH-Downtown (his alma matter). He wrote for the university paper, and eventually became Editor-in-Chief, where he covered the controversial name change.
Wilbert is no stranger to Houston publications. He has covered various arts festivals, and loves writing feature stories on intriguing people in town (or anywhere in the world). He is currently a freelance reporter, active volunteer for HRC Houston's Marketing & Communication Subcommittee, and a web content & community manager for GetGrouby.com.
