Top chefs wow at Cirque du Cuisine fundraiser amid high-flying entertainers

The 411: Chefs from Max's Wine Dive, Nara, Ouisie's, Shade and Tiny Boxwood's among others joined the circus-themed fray of food and fun that raised $645,000 for March of Dimes healthy baby programs. Leading the presentation of taste sensations from 22 chefs was Culinary Honoree chef Mark Cox of Mark's American Cuisine, recognized for three decades of supporting the March of Dimes.
Cox was joined in the spotlight by Community Honoree Rosemarie Johnson, Corporate Honoree Dan Wolterman and Memorial Hermann Health System and Medical Honoree Dr. Jon Tyson, Michelle Bain Distinguished Professor of Medicine and Public Health at UTHealth.
Taking top honors for best Culinary Creation in the friendly foodie competition was Triniti chef Ryan Hildebrand, winning for his potato and corn with mushrooms panna cotta and truffle pumpkin toffee. Culinaire Inspired Cuisine and Events' chef Barbara McKnight won Best Presentation for her duck on baguette French toast.
Applause, applause for chairs Mary D'Andrea and Kathy Fay and honorary chairs Faith and Lee Majors as well as auction chairs Valerie and Tracy Dieterich. Guests were entertained by an array of Cirque du Soleil style entertainers including contortionists and aerialists.
