The 411: This VIP kickoff for the ULI's global spring meeting honored internationally renowned developer Gerald Hines. H-Town's leading real estate developers turned out for the gathering in which Hines urged support for the worldwide nonprofit that promotes leadership in responsible land use and sustainable development. Hines, the company, is on board as a $75,000 sponsor for the spring meeting that will be held at the Hilton Americas-Houston, May 13-14.
The Brennan's reception raised $250,000 of the $500,000 goal for the gathering that will bring 3,000 of the world's leading city builders, investors and influential thinkers to Houston. The conference was last held in Houston in 1992.
Who: The heavy-hitter gathering included ULI global CEO Patrick L. Phillips of Washington, D.C.; committee co-chairs Jonathan Brinsden, CEO of Midway, and Tom Owens, senior managing director, Hines; and ULI Houston chair Carleton Riser, president of Transwestern Development Co.; and host committee fundraising co-chairs Ric Campo, CEO of Camden and Doug Goff, COO of Johnson Development.
