If you've been dying to take in a dip in the world's only Texas-shaped lazy river on a rooftop, the Marriott Marquis Houston is now offering Houston Summer Elevated resort passes — basically a day pass that grants entry at a discounted rate, without having to book an overnight stay.
These passes allow visitors who are 21-and-up full access to the famed lazy river, along with a whole host of other luxurious amenities, including a heated infinity pool, dining at High Dive (featuring a full menu of fan favorites as well as signature cocktails and frozen drinks), and a few other bells and whistles. The passes are good for entry from 9:30 am-10 pm, Monday through Thursday only, and range from $50-$1,200.
The hotel's sprawling terrace and view of Discovery Green alone are well worth a hotel stay, but the pool's Instagram-worthy options have really had Houstonians clamoring for a way to gain access. Before this summer pass series, which began the week of July 23, guests could only partake in the Texas-shaped lazy river by booking a minimum spa treatment or being a registered hotel guest, which also required a wristband that was tightly monitored.
Guests can now purchase passes through ResortPass online. Options include:
- Day Pass (starting at $50 per person): Includes access to the heated infinity pool, Texas-shaped lazy river, hot tub, towel service, and fitness center. Food and beverage service available for purchase at High Dive.
- Spa Pass (starting at $75 per person): Includes all amenities provided in the Day Pass, as well as access to the men's and women's lockers and showers, steam room, and men's and women's relaxation room
- Day Bed (starting at $220, max 2 people): Includes Day Passes for two adults, shaded day bed, chilled towels, four bottled waters, and fresh fruit plate.
- Cabana (starting at $275, max 2 people): Includes Day Passes for two adults, shaded cabana with comfortable lounge chairs, chilled towels, four bottled waters, and fresh fruit plate.
- Pergola (starting at $475, max 6 people): Includes Day Passes for up to six adults, shaded sectional sofa with two chairs, chilled towels, four bottled waters, and fresh fruit plate.
- Single Gazebo (starting at $300, max 6 people): Includes Day Passes for up to six adults, shaded gazebo with comfortable seating, chilled towels, four bottled waters, and fresh fruit plate.
- Double Gazebo (starting at $1200, max 10 people): Includes Day Passes for up to six adults, shaded gazebo with comfortable seating, chilled towels, four bottled waters, and fresh fruit plate.
The Texas-shaped lazy river is on the sixth floor of the hotel.
