Most Expensive Listing
This estate is the most expensive home for sale in Texas right now
Start saving your pennies: The most expensive home listing in all of Texas happens to be located in Dallas.
Trulia recently picked out the priciest listing on the site in each state, and coming as a surprise to no one, 5950 Deloache Ave. is located in Preston Hollow. Your neighbors could be former President George W. Bush, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, and business tycoon Ross Perot — if you have $28.5 million, that is.
The "pied-á-terre," as Trulia quaintly calls the 15,254-square-foot mansion, was designed by legendary architect Robert A.M. Stern and constructed in 1997 by John Sebastian. It was first listed at $37.5 million in 2014, so this price drop could almost be called a deal.
Four bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms are part of the main structure, but spread out over the 9-acre estate you'll also find a lake, several terraces, gardens, a tennis court, pool, and two-story guest house.
Inside the three-story main house there's a spa, library, leather-walled billiard room, master suite complex (because a suite itself simply isn't enough), and a natatorium for all your indoor swimming needs.
A five-car garage, elevator, basement, and oodles of marble, ornate plaster work, and soaring ceilings complete the home, which is listed with Erin Mathews at Allie Beth Allman.
Trulia estimates your monthly mortgage to be around $160,000. If that makes your heart stop, focus instead on the number $1,868, which is the estimated cost per square foot.
