Jana Fant knocked our socks off at the ladylike Fendi luncheon that annually serves to launch the rocking Una Notte in Italia benefit for Family Services of Greater Houston. She chairs the mens' fashion event this Friday and she was in the spotlight at the Fendi boutique.

Fant made it a high-fashion moment in crocodile embossed leather skirt by Azzedine Alaia, a special order from Neiman Marcus topped with a leather blouson by Celine, also from Neiman's. Making this outfit rock was her Jitois belt that she picked up at Ikram in Chicago. Add Christian Louboutin shoes, which looked swell even though they were killing her feet.

Interestingly, the envy of the lunching ladies was Jana's jewelry — earrings by Lauren Craft, a find at Sloan Hall, and the dazzling, bejeweled cuff and ring by Turkish jeweler Sevan Bicaki from Barneys in Los Angeles.

We've noticed these two BFFs making the scene at a number of high-style parties recently and at each event they have stood out for their fashion forward sensibilities.

On this cocktail party evening at Neiman Marcus, Duyen wore an NM cashmere turtleneck sweater from Neiman Marcus, topped by a raccoon fur vest by Haute Hippie from Bergdorf Goodman. She picked up the black leather leggings by Balenciaga at Barneys in New York and her Alaia shoes are from Bergdorf's. Finishing off the outfit — an Hermès Kelly bag.

A jewelry designer, Katherine stepped out in a pony hair blazer by Carolina Herrera, a find at the CH Boutique in the Galleria. The cassin mink neck piece is from Saks Fifth Avenue, her  Balenciaga leggings from Barneys and Ralph Lauren booties from the Ralph Lauren boutique. She carried an Hermès clutch. Her most important accessories —  jewelry of her on design, Ava-le.

When she was living in New York working as a freelance marketing exec, Kendra Oden was frequently stopped on the street for her stylish good looks and her photo ran in a number of style columns. So she wasn't completely surprised when CultureMap reached out to her for Style File.

For The Beacon garden party fundraiser, Kendra stepped out in a light frock from Bebe and accessorized with a smashing Vince Camuto handbag, an Hermès Collier de Chien cuff and Yves Saint Laurent wedge sandals.

"It was a garden party so wedgies are always a must. You don't want your heels sinking in the grass," she said. "I wanted something light and airy and kind of soft, something that transitions from afternoon to evening. I wanted to get in that last summer dress at the end of the season."

Back in hometown Houston, Kendra starts work soon as a marketing director for a plastic surgery collective.

A former ballerina in her native Venezuela, Karina Barbieri has a special appreciation of the dance form and any opportunity to celebrate ballet is a happy thing for her. For the recent Houston Ballet Ball kick-off, she stepped out in colorful, whimsical fashion finery.

Her brightly-colored Roberto Cavalli dress is from Neiman Marcus in the Galleria, her playful Louboutins with feathery puffs at the heel are from Neiman Marcus on line and the golden spiked handbag by Deux Lux was a find at Nordstrom. Her watch, a stunning accessory in itself, is a 24-karat gold timepiece from Longines.

"I chose this dress because everything that has to do with the ballet is joy for me," she said. "I wanted a cheerful look to celebrate the Houston Ballet."

Back in Houston after living in Europe for several years, Natalie Lefevre dresses to impress. Check out her interpretation of "rockstar chic" at the Richard Grieco party last week.

Her leather skirt with gold studs was a find at Faith Connection in St. Tropez while she purchased the Celine black leather and lace top as well as her Alaia croc/patent leather strappy heels on line at  Net-a-Porter.com. The crystal belt by Alexander McQueen was another Net-a-Porter.com buy.

A walking symbol of European chic, Lefevre carried an Etro bag purchased at the Etro boutique in Berlin and wore an Hermés black leather cuff and a gold Rolex Daytona from Munich.
