It was all about the boots when Valerie Palmquist Dieterich started putting together her outfit for the Houston Grand Opera Ovations Awards announcement party.
The former Ovations honoree was making a fashion change between work at Studley, where she is vice president of tenant advisory services, and the casual cocktail party on stage at Wortham Theater Center. We liked the youthful sophistication of the look as she pulled the various elements together.
"I started with the boots," she said of the black leather knee-highs from Joseph. From there she added the black tights and free-flowing dress by DVF, a find at Intermix. Her jacket was Pink Tartan from Neiman Marcus.
