When Nancy Marcus Golden went to her closet to select the perfect outfit for a charity luncheon featuring designer Carolina Herrera, compliments of Saks Fifth Avenue, she had no insecure fashion moments. "I selected something very simple and elegant because that's the way I view Carolina . . . I wanted to be completely understated and elegant," she said.

Golden settled on a sleeveless Dolce & Gabbana sheath that she ordered from the mother ship Nordstrom store in Seattle. She accessorized with Manolo Blahnik pumps, signed by the famed shoe designer, and a Lanvin chained handbag that she purchased at Neiman Marcus.

It was a lucky day for Golden, a self-professed fashionista. She won the raffle drawing for a designer-infused trip to Fashion Week in New York in the spring. Golden knows a thing or two about that scene having played an integral role in Audi Fashion Houston last month. The Amschwand Sarcoma Foundation luncheon took place at the Westin Oaks Hotel.
