Lucy Thorp had originally bought the great-looking dress by Yigal Azrouel for her trousseau (her wedding is in October).
But when she agreed to co-chair this charity event at Atrium (the designer boutique within Casa de Novia Bridal Couture), she decided to move the summer sheath from future plans to the here-and-now. After all, it was an Atrium purchase. And we think the yellow, beige and white dress (with peek-a-boo opening in the back) was just the ticket for a late-afternoon fundraiser in the middle of summer.
She accessorized with a Bottega Veneta handbag and sandals (made in Spain) from one of her favorite shops — By George in Austin. Her yellow acrylic bracelet is from a vintage store in Gruene and she found the snake skin bracelet in London's Portobello Market.
This recent honors grad from the University of Texas says she leans toward classic, tailored styles with a bit of an international edge. Her eye for style should come in handy as she looks to put her major in art history to good professional use.
