It's a constant challenge for the city's multitude of young professionals who find themselves stepping straight from the office into the social swirl: What to wear for the day when there's not time to change? That was the not-so-difficult dilemma recently for Lindsey Brown, marketing and PR director for the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Houston Ballet's "Ballet & Bubbles" at the new Center for Dance was Act II of Lindsey's busy day. "I knew that I would be going straight from work, so I wanted to wear something to the office that was professional, yet fun enough to wear to an event," she said.
For her doubleheader, Lindsey stepped out in a day-into-night black top and copper-peppered black skirt, both purchases from Muse on West Alabama. Her black opened-toed shoes were a find at Tootsies.
Lindsey is co-chair of Ballet Barre, the ballet company's young professional group, and as such has more than a few night's out when she meets up with her husband, Guy Brown.
