When the weather is as hot and sticky as it is this July, no fashion fabric seems more seasonally attuned than eyelet —preferably in white. That's exactly the fashion route that Jessica Ledger chose for a recent casual cocktail reception just for ladies at River Oaks Country Club.
A teacher at Yellowstone Academy, Jessica wore a white eyelet frock by Milly, the summery look from Saks Fifth Avenue. Her strappy high-heeled sandals were Jimmy Choo from the Jimmy Choo boutique in the Galleria.
"I decided to wear the dress," she emailed, "because it was an easy outfit to put on right after work."
It was a mad dash for Jessica Ledger from her post teaching art at Yellowstone Academy to the Hilton Americas-Houston for the Youth Development Center's "Bon Vivant Houston" chefs evening. So she stopped by her apartment and slipped into this little black and white frock from Diane Von Furstenberg, a Neiman Marcus purchase.
She added black Wolford tights and black Giuseppe Zanotti booties, also from Neiman's, for a simple yet fashionable look.
It was a quick change the worked for the business attire evening where she and a group of girlfriends were feted by Branch Water Tavern.
