Part boho, part sophisticated lady, Emily Cotton stepped out in relaxed style for the CultureMap Mixer on the Map at Canopy. While most partygoers came straight from work in buttoned-down office attire, she made a quick change from her post as director of investor relations for Cotton and Western Mining.
Emily slipped into a pair of Current/Elliott jeans, slashed open at the knees, offering a welcome air flow on this day of triple-digit temps. But the mustard yellow jacket that she chose from Anthropologie proved rather warm over the sheer, long-sleeved blouse from The Gap. Her belt was Burberry. Emily picked up her sparkly pumps at the Tory Burch boutique in the Galleria.
Overall, it was an inventive look. "I like mixing styles and price points," she explained of the fashion potpourri.
Her creative bent was evidenced in the stackable "bracelets" she wore, which were actually over-sized napkin rings from Kuhl-Linscomb. Her watch was Burberry and her Gucci bag, a gift from her dad.
