Working in sales in the insurance industry for Aon, Andrew Glisson made his first trip to the Tasting Room at CityCentre last week to attend the SEARCH Homeless Services "Back to School" fundraiser. He's a regular at the Tasting Room in Uptown Park so as long as there was a worthy cause, it was good reason to venture out I-10 for a look-see.
His crisp fresh-from-the-office look caught our attention. The blue and white fitted shirt was from Charles Tyrwhitt, available on line at ctshirts.com. "I typically go for slim/tailored fits with spread collars," he e-mailed. His slacks were from Express. The belt Calvin Klein. Andrew picked up his Ferragamo drivers at Nordstrom.
We asked Andrew to describe his personal style. His response: "Never really crossed my mind what my style is . . . I have a pretty conservative/classic style."
Back home in Memphis, Tenn., he typically wore a suit to work each day. With Houston's relentless heat, he's dropped the jacket and tie for the summer, though he does say the Memphis can get just as hot as Houston but not for such a long stretch.
And then we queried him on what he does for fun. We were never more surprised than by the answer from this sleek and lean businessman. "Eat. Houston has incredible dining options and there is always a new place to visit."
