Whoever said that beauty and brains don't mix never met Claire Cormier Thielke, head of the consumer products venture capital firm Consumer Solutions Inc. Just check out her summery chic style at the Houston Ballet Barre season launch at The Capitol at St. Germaine, the swank supper club in the heart of downtown.

As a high-powered exec, she's not above shopping the bargain racks at H&M, this frock a purchase from the store in Chicago. "I love a good deal and every H&M is different so I always try to go when I travel," she said. "I'm a big fan of shifts and classic lines and the bright girly print seemed fun for the ballet."

Her Sondra Roberts clutch was a find in mom's closet, that would be Best Dressed Hall of Fame honoree Dr. Yvonne Cormier. Her shoes are Cole Haan pumps and the bracelet is by Mary Nichols, who actually attended the gathering.

Membership in the young professionals group of Houston Ballet was a natural for Claire. "I love Houston Ballet and danced at the Houston Ballet Academy for well over 10 years. I think Ballet Barre makes the ballet fun and accessible for lifelong fans and newbies alike."
