The Chocolate Bar sweetens up the Food Network

Chocoholics, beware: The Food Network has a new show that could lure you off the wagon. And the most famous Houston chocolate emporium — The Chocolate Bar — is making an appearance.

The new show Kid in a Candy Store with host Adam Gertler premiered on Tuesday, and The Chocolate Bar appears in one of the first episodes, Blissfully Sweet, airing July 26 at 7:30 p.m.

Gertler, a runner-up on The Next Food Network Star and previously host of Will Work For Food, will focus on The Chocolate Bar's decadent cakes and penchant for "dipping just about anything in chocolate — including corn chips!"

Other sweets shops on the episode include a gourmet dessert restaurant in Washington D.C., a dessert truck in L.A. and a bake stand in Philadelphia's Reading Terminal Market.
