Lock up your daughters: John Mayer headed to Houston — and he might even focus on music

Starlet dater, compulsive Twitterer and modern day troubadour John Mayer is headed back to Houston.

Without a high-profile breakup or foot-in-mouth interview overshoadowing his music and with his duet with Taylor Swift, "Half of my Heart," hitting radio in June, Mayer should expect a rekindled interest in his music in time for his show on September 5 at at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands. Owl City will open and Mayer's bluesy side project, John Mayer Trio, will be featured.
