HER BABIES

Addicted to her own boobs: Local women's obsession with her 38KKKs showcased in TLC show

While eating toilet paper or dryer sheets, ditching a living fiancé in favor of ventriloquist dummies and changing one's skin color by over-tanning or pouring bleach on it are certainly bizarre addictions, Houstonian Sheyla Hershey's obsession with her breast implants perhaps takes the cake.

Hershey, who claimed that her 38KKK breasts saved her life during a recent car accident, bared it all on Sunday's episode of TLC's My Strange Addiction.

In the show, which is rife with gratuitous boob shots, Hershey chronicles the quotidian trials and triumphs involved in carrying around a record-breaking pair of breasts — each of which contains more liquid than a six pack of soda.

Thirteen years, $250,000 invested in 22 surgeries and a life-threatening infection later, Hershey claims that her mammaries are "the most good thing in [her] life." She loves them like they're her babies.

Like children, her breasts impose some limitations. Culled from two short episode previews, here are some of the things that Hershey can't do:

  • Hold or hug her biological daughter
  • Tie her own shoes
  • Find clothes that fit
  • Run
  • Eat without getting crumbs in her cleavage
  • Walk down the street without being ogled
  • Level with her friends, who simply cannot understand why she needs her boobs to be bigger

On the other hand, Hershey can

  • Balance her boobies on a table top
  • Impress your husband

This dangerous addiction to augmentation might cause her back to ache, and her skin to nearly burst — but, says Hershey, "Anything for beauty."
