Put a ring on it: New Cartier d'Amour engagement ring keeps the jeweler at the center of love

02.12.12 | 10:38 am

Since it was founded in 1847, Cartier has been at the center of some of the world's great love stories. Both Grace Kelly, who married Monaco's Prince Ranier and the Duchess of Windsor, for whom King Edward VIII gave up his throne, wore Cartier engagement rings. And in fact, Cartier recreated 10 pieces of the Duchess's jewelry, including her emerald engagement ring, in the new movie W./E. (otherwise known as the movie directed by Madonna).

Now a new generation has another wedding option: the Cartier d’Amour engagement ring and wedding band collection. It's the first new Cartier engagement ring in five years.

The new collection features a timeless solitaire in a micro-paved setting, with diamonds placed in a circle — representing a pledge of endless love. The unique closed setting enhances the center stone and adds a modern touch.

Price on request at Cartier in The Galleria.
