This time it's for real: H&M makes it official with plans for stores at two Houston-area malls

It’s finally happened.

H&M is officially laying stakes in Houston at Willowbrook and Baybrook Malls.

After much speculation and destination ping-pong, the trendy fast-fashion retailer announced Wednesday morning that it will open its first Houston-area store at Baybrook Mall in the spring, with no exact date yet mentioned. Later this year, the second Houston-area H&M store is slated to open at Willowbrook Mall.

In a press release announcement, the international chain says it believes strongly in the Texas market and is following the "everything-is-bigger mantra" with approximately a 19,400 square-feet store at the Baybrook Mall and approximately 25,600 square feet at the Willowbrook location.

No word on any inner-Loop locales, but trend-seekers can’t be beggars after all.
