Sure there’s shopping, beauty, sips and noshes at CultureMap’s Fashion on Sale, but we also think there’s something special about events that are fun and beneficial to causes beyond ourselves. Admittedly, there are many wonderful groups in Houston, but CultureMap chose Child Advocates, an organization that works to stop the cycle of child abuse, to benefit from a raffle full of goodies at Fashion on Sale.
The fashion and hospitality industries have been especially generous, offering jaw-dropping items. Every dime from the raffle goes directly to Child Advocates.
Here’s a preview of raffle items:
*Fur-trimmed cashmere shawl from Woody’s Furs
*San Antonio Getaway at the Hotel Havana
*Private Blue Jean Bar Shopping Party
*Elaine Turner Vanessa Golden Python Clutch
*$100 Gift Card from Tootsies
*Alexandra Knight Alligator Credit Card Case

See one or three things that caught your eye? Good.
Head to the Child Advocates table directly opposite the front door during the three-day Fashion on sale event (Friday through Sunday), look for the item(s) you hope to win, purchase raffle tickets ($10 each), find the bag that represents the raffle items you want and plop a ticket — or several — right in. (You can concentrate all your raffle tickets on one item or spread them out over several.)
A winner will be drawn for each item at the close of Fashion on Sale Sunday. Shoppers don’t have to be present to win; Child Advocates will contact the winners.
It’s really a win/win for everybody.
