Cuba Gooding Jr. made the rounds in Houston while promoting his upcoming movie, Red Tails, about the first African American fighter pilots in World War II.
Red Tails director Anthony Hemingway tweeted a shot of himself and Gooding along with co-stars Nate Parker and David Oyelowo attending a screening of the movie with former president George H. W. Bush along with Barbara Bush and Dr. Mae Jemison of NASA, the first African American woman to go into space.
President Bush served as a naval aviator during the war and flew in 58 combat missions including the Battle of the Philippine Sea.
The movie opens Jan. 20 in theaters.
In addition to the screening, Gooding was spotted by an excited crew at The Tasting Room in Uptown Park, who tweeted a picture of the Academy Award-winner with a staff member.
