Houston-area air travelers will have more nonstop options in 2013 — Southwest Airlines has announced an expansion of service out of William P. Hobby Airport next summer.
Starting June 2, 2013, travelers can select new, twice daily, nonstop service between Hobby and New York's LaGuardia Airport on the Dallas-based carrier.
Southwest will also offer a return of seasonal nonstop service between Hobby and Seattle.
June 2 will also mark new daily nonstop service on AirTran Airways — Southwest's wholly owned subsidiary — from Hobby to Tampa Bay, Fla.
All of the recently-announced nonstop routes will be available during the peak of the summer season through Aug. 9, 2013.
