The 411: On a perfect evening, 600 supporters strolled the promenade, enjoying the downtown view and the dramatic blue lunar lighting that led them to the dinner tent where A Fare Extraordinaire worked its culinary magic. The Wortham Foundation, represented by Fred Burns, Brady Carruth, Tommy Smith and Rusty Wortham, was honored for its quarter century of support for the bayou and for quality of life initiatives.
Jacquelyn and Collin Cox and Marsha and Charlie Parker chaired the evening that raised more than $540,000 for the Partnership's continuing efforts at revitalizing Buffalo Bayou. Key players on the scene included Partnership board chair Sis Johnson and Partnership president Anne Olson as well as Ibiza chef Charles Clark, who drew the winning ticket for a dinner for 20 at Clark Cooper Concept's latest venture, The Dunlavy set to open in several months.
