What: The San Jacinto Museum of History's seventh "Special Evening with Texas History."

Where: The San Jacinto Museum inside the San Jacinto Monument in LaPorte.

The 411: More than $200,000 was raised toward the proposed purchase of 13 acres of land, to eventually house a new museum and visitors center. The dinner evening honored H-E-B with the San Jacinto Star Award for the grocer's role as the presenting sponsor of the San Jacinto Day Festival and Battle Reenactment annually, since 2003. On behalf of his company, Scott McClelland accepted the award, presented by San Jacinto Museum of History president Larry Spasic.
